Silver Beats

Silver Beats is a tech-enabled curriculum programme that reimagines lion dance drumming into a culturally meaningful, gamified wellness routine for seniors. Designed as an on-demand “digital Shifu,” it empowers seniors to learn at their own pace and bond through regular plug-and-play group sessions that promote fitness, rhythm, and joy.

Respecting & Reimagining Arts & Heritage for Wellness

Master Siew Puay Lee (centre), third-generation disciple of Wong Fei Hung, relies on a mobility device but continues to inspire through his collaboration with Lynn Wong (most left), fifth-generation disciple and founder of Inheritage. Together, they co-created a lion dance routine for seniors with mobility challenges, in consultation with Kong Chow Wui Koon (est. 1840).

Grandma Mah, 99 years old: “I love listening to the music and sounds of lion dance, so I’m always happy after each class.”

Inheritage has been actively engaging seniors through immersive experiences, including curated excursions to the Lion Head Museum, hands-on workshops, and Silver Pride Lion Troupe performances that promote cultural pride, active aging, and community joy.
